Mauritshuis in den Haag

On Saturday morning, in the Hague, we visited the wonderful Mauritshuis (Maurits House), the royal picture gallery hosting works by Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, Steen, Hals and other famous Dutch painters. The special exhibition "Pride of Place" presents Dutch cityscapes from Golden Age and with the aid of a multimedia guide we could understand and relish in the amazing style of the painters.

Erasmus in Bojimans Museum

We got free tickets from RSM to visit the Erasmus exhibition at the Bojimans van Beuningen Museum. It was also an exhibition for the 95th anniversary of RSM. We attended a cabaret show (some songs in Dutch), a lecture about the pictures in the exhibition (largely about Erasmus' influence in the religious and artistic world in his times), and of course visited the latest collections in Bojimans.
